„Conte Noncovich, (Taf. 42.) Altes illyrisches, im adeligen Stamme erloschenes, aus Narenta stammendes Geschlecht in Dalmatien. Im Jahre 1867 war Jacob Noncovich See-Sanitäts-Agent im Fort Opus in Dalmatien.”

“Counts Noncovich (plate 42). An old Illyrian family from Dalmatia, originating from the Neretva, whose noble branch had become extinct. In 1867 Jacob Noncovich was a maritime health agent at Opuzen in Dalmatia.”German original

Beneath its right claw floats a golden human-faced crescent with its horns turned to the right, and to the left a small golden sun. Rosenfeld is a secondary heraldic source, not the original Venetian patent. The heading “Conte Noncovich” strongly supports the family’s historical association with comital status, but does not by itself establish the date, first holder, or terms of inheritance. His statement that the noble branch was extinct reflects his information in 1873; family tradition and later use of the title require separate genealogical verification.
