The Nonkovic family is a Croatian family originating in lower Herzegovina, in the wider Popovo Polje region. Under Serdar Nikola Nonković, they migrated to the Neretva valley in 1687, where family members served as military commanders, Knights of St. Mark, and administrators of the Neretva Frontier.
